What Are PDO Thread Lifts?
PDO threads are made of a material called Polydioxanone (PDO). Polydioxanone has been used for many years, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery. Why? Because it is fully absorbed within 4-6 months and doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen production, and the skin structure created with Nova Threads will hold for another 12-15 months.
What to Expect
There are no cuts or incisions required for thread lifts, and the procedure is purely injection based, much like dermal fillers! We use Nova Threads, which are pre-loaded needles with varying types of PDO threads. During the procedure, these threads are inserted into the tissue parallel to the skin’s surface.
