Prior To Treatment
- Do not take blood thinners (ibuprofen, Aspirin, fish oil) 10-14 days before your procedure to prevent bruising, unless advised to do so by a doctor.
- Take arnica tablets 4 days before your treatment to prevent bruising.
What you should know:
- You will start to feel your Botox kicking in 3-5 days after treatment. It should be fully set in after about 2 weeks.
- Eyelid/eyebrow heaviness is normal! Headaches are also to be expected. Both will resolve.
- Botox lasts about 3 months. Consistency is key to keeping wrinkles at bay!
Aftercare:
- Stay upright/ do not lay down for 6 hours.
- Avoid vigorous exercise for 6 hours.
- Do not fly by airplane for 24 hours.
- Bruising can persist for up to 2 weeks. Drinking pineapple juice post-procedure can help alleviate bruising. We also have a laser that can help bruises resolve faster!
What you should know:
- Swelling and bruising is normal and is to be expected.
- Results and longevity based on the filler used. Most of our fillers last between 12-18 months.
Aftercare:
- If you received filler today, please avoid massaging/ manipulating the treated area.
- Bruising can persist for up to 2 weeks. Drinking pineapple juice post-procedure can help alleviate bruising. We also have a laser that can help bruises resolve faster!
What you should know:
- Burning is to be expected after injections. This typically lasts for 30-60 minutes.
- Significant swelling at and around injection sites is expected and will persist for about one week. Swelling can persist for 3-4 weeks.
- It is normal for the area to feel numb and this feeling typically lasts 3 weeks after treatment.
- The treated area can feel hard to the touch.
Aftercare:
- Icing on and off can help manage swelling after Kybella.
- Bruising can persist for up to 2 weeks. Drinking pineapple juice post-procedure can help alleviate bruising. We also have a laser that can help bruises resolve faster!
What you should know:
- The skin is numbed for 20 minutes prior to procedure and a device with small needles are used to create collagen and elastin in the skin.
- Expect little to no discomfort during the procedure and immediate redness after.
- You will also experience tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will diminish greatly after a few hours following treatment.
Aftercare:
- After treatments, expect 1-2 days of redness and minor bruising.
- Use gentle skincare, no acids or retinols, no exfoliation, and no rubbing of the skin for 24 hours.
- Sun avoidance for 48 hours and wearing sunscreen daily is imperative.
What you should know:
- Mild swelling or flaking of the skin may occur, particularly swelling around the eyes.
- Dark spots will appear like coffee grinds for 1 week on the face, two weeks on the chest and hands and they will fall off on their own.
- Darkened brown spots or discoloration can be covered with make-up if desired.
Before:
- Stop using harsh skincare products for 1-2 weeks prior to the treatment. This includes the use of retinoids and glycolic acid.
- No makeup, lotion, skincare products, or sunscreen should be on the skin during treatment.
Aftercare:
- Use gentle skincare, no acids or retinols, no rubbing of the skin.
- Sun avoidance for 2-3 weeks is imperative and sunscreen daily, SPF 50 or more is advised.
What you should know:
- The Clear + Brilliant treatment involves six fast and easy sessions at least two weeks apart. Each treatment takes about 20 minutes.
- The damaged pigmented lesions slough off over the course of approximately one week, leaving the skin feeling slightly rough.
Before:
- Prior to the treatment, you should stop the use of retinols at least one week prior to the treatment.
- It is best if the skin is not tanned, sun burned, broken or inflamed.
- On the day of treatment, the area being treated should be washed so it is free of makeup or any skincare products.
Aftercare:
- Do not use abrasive scrubs or toners for a week or so after the last treatment.
- Apply a light cream moisturizer whenever your skin is feeling dry.
- Use plenty of SPF 50+ several times a day and avoid large amounts of sun exposure if at all possible. If sun exposure is necessary wear clothing that covers the treated area.
What you should know:
- Once a month treatment: a small amount of your blood is drawn, plasma is extracted and injected into the area of concern.
- PRP procedures take less than 30 minutes. Only a small volume of blood is required. There are no foreign components, which eliminates the risk of adverse reactions.
Aftercare:
- Potential bruising may occur. To prevent bruising, avoid blood thinners (NSAIDs, aspirins, fish oil) 2 weeks before your appointment.
- NO DOWNTIME!!!
What you should know:
- In just a few fast, easy treatment sessions, scars, lines, and discolored skin are much less visible, leaving behind smoother, more attractive skin.
- The damaged pigmented lesions slough off over the course of approximately one week.
Before:
- Prior to the treatment, patients should wash the area to be treated so it is free of makeup or any skincare products. Gentle moisturizers can be applied.
- It is recommended that patients do not apply sunscreens to their skin. Patients must arrive one hour prior to their appointment for numbing with a topical ointment.
Aftercare:
- Swelling, redness, and superficial peeling will occur for one week.
- Sun avoidance for one month is imperative and sunscreen daily: SPF 50 or more is advised.
- Use gentle skincare, no acids or retinols, no exfoliation, no rubbing of the skin for 24 hours.
What you should know:
- Slight discomfort may be experienced while undergoing treatment. Typically the discomfort is mild and temporary during the procedure and localized within the treatment area.
- During the treatment you should feel warmth and heat and provide ongoing feedback to the healthcare provider performing the treatment. Treatment time is approximately 30 minutes.
Aftercare:
- You may experience warmth and a mild pink to red appearance of the skin that usually dissipates in about 30 minutes post treatment.
- Mild swelling and bruising may occur, which typically goes away within 2 to 24 hours.
- Diligent protection from sun exposure and application of sunscreen after treatment will minimize pigmentation changes.
